Add-on digital compass for drilling instrument
The TRANSTRONIC inclinator GPS Compass uses satellite GPS technology to accurately determine the orientation of the drill rig. This makes it possible to replace the traditional sight on the CMI bench instrument. In turn, it guarantees all holes are drilled parallel and aligned with the predetermined blasting direction. By removing dependence on operator visibility and manual alignment, the GPS compass simplifies drilling operations even in challenging environments.
Designed with a robust IP67-rated enclosure it’s possible to operate across a wide temperature range (-30°C to +50°C). The compass communicates through a CAN bus using the CANopen protocol for seamless integration. Its heavy-duty modular design makes it easy to mount, service, and maintain on-site.
High-Accuracy Direction Measurement
Provides orientation accuracy better than 0.5° for precise drilling alignment.
Satellite-Based Technology
Utilizes GPS satellites to eliminate operator dependency and visibility issues.
Rugged and Weatherproof
IP67 enclosure ensures reliable performance in harsh conditions.
Modular and User-Friendly
Easy to install, maintain, and integrate with existing systems via CANopen.
